Ross Howarth

Ross graduated with a degree in Law with Australian Law from the University of Nottingham in 2007, interspersed with a sunnier year at the University of Queensland. He then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London where he received the award of LPC Pro Bono Student of the Year and joined Osbornes as a litigation paralegal in June 2008.

During his two years as a paralegal Ross worked in the Social Welfare and Property Litigation Departments. He experienced a wide range of work including housing possession, disrepair, unlawful eviction, homelessness, welfare benefits and also assisted in developing the firm’s regulatory practice acting on behalf of the Solicitors Regulation Authority in the intervention of solicitors’ practices. He has also developed a keen understanding of the niche area of legal costs which has allowed him to develop his negotiation skills.

Ross is committed to the idea that justice and the law should be accessible to everyone regardless of their means and, having commenced his training contract in September 2010, is looking forward to having the opportunity to put this into practice.

Outside of law, Ross enjoys the feel of the wind in his hair on board his Italian racing bike, Carlotta.
