If you have an accident or develop an illness on holiday, which was not your fault you may be entitled to claim compensation.

If your personal injury occurred whilst on holiday in the UK, it will be dealt with in the same way as any other claim for compensation. If you were abroad, then different rules apply, but most claims can still be dealt with by solicitors in the UK.

If the injury happened on a package holiday then the operators will usually be liable for the negligence not only of themselves but of their agents abroad, and if the accident was en route to a foreign destination it may be covered by international conventions.
