Several members of Osbornes Social Welfare Team took part in the 7th annual London Legal Sponsored Walk for the London Legal Support Trust, on the afternoon of Monday 16th May 2011.

The 10k walk, led by the Lord Chief Justice, saw over 5000 walkers from across the legal profession and voluntary groups make there way from the Royal Courts of Justice, through St James Park, past Buckingham Palace and into Green Park, then around the Serpentine before returning down the Strand.

All money raised goes to assist legal advice centres who provide vital services to vulnerable people. Ruth Camp, Associate in the Social Welfare team commented:

“The service law centres provides to individuals who without them would have no legal assistance cannot be undermined or undervalued. The role they play in making sure that all members of society have access to justice is pivotal. It is this reason which makes the annual walk so important and worthwhile”.

The Osbornes team raised over £500 for the centres and were also very happy that the weather held out for the duration of the walk.
