Woman knocked unconscious on holiday receives compensation
A holidaymaker who slipped on a wet hotel foyer floor has won £10,500 in compensation for the injuries she sustained.
The lady was left delirious and barely conscious following the accident where she fell backwards and struck her head on a marble floor that was covered in rainwater.
On re-gaining consciousness the lady suffered with blurred vision, was obviously delirious and could not find her balance. The lady was admitted to hospital, where she remained for two days whilst under observation. On her return to the UK the lady has been prescribed painkillers, was sent to have physiotherapy and has suffered on-going neck pain.
Tour operators have a responsibility to ensure their customers safety and hotel staff should have been more vigilant in making sure public areas were safe not a hazard for guests.
