Collision on skiing holiday receives compensation for serious injury

A holidaymaker who suffered serious injuries when another skier collided into him has received £20,000 in compensation.

The holiday maker, who is a very competent skier was travelling at a relatively slow speed on piste when another skier collided into his back at considerable speed.

The victim's injuries included six fractured ribs, severe shoulder damage and whiplash to his neck. Due to the severity of his injuries the man was also given a CT and MRI scan.

The defendant in the case attempted to argue that it was actually he who had been hit from behind by the victim, however doctors were able to confirm that this account of events did not correlate with the victims injuries.

As a result of the accident the man continues to suffer discomfort and limited mobility to his chest and neck. He also had a constant ache in his right shoulder and finds it extremely painful to lift anything heavy.

A £20,000 out of court settlement was reached.
