Sue obtained a degree in History before studying law and working as a paralegal at Linklaters and then at American firm Arnold & Porter. Sue joined the firm in 2002 as a trainee solicitor and qualified as a solicitor in 2004. Sue represents clients in relation to a wide range of family issues. Sue has acted for parents in a number of cases regarding children's residence, contact and other specific matters and also regularly represents parents involved in care proceedings. Sue has acted for clients in financial matters where they are also seeking divorce or where they are not married but have issues on separation. This work has also included representing unmarried parents seeking financial provision for children. Sue has successfully obtained non-molestation and occupation orders for clients suffering violence from their partner. Sue is a member of Resolution which is an organisation which promotes a constructive, non confrontational approach to family law matters. She also volunteers at a law centre providing legal advice.
