Julian
Beard |
Julian is head of department. He was recruited in 1997 from national firm Shoosmiths, where he ran their Family team, and became a partner here the following year. |

Mark
Freedman |
| Mark studied at
Manchester University and the college of Law in
York. He then took a 12 month career break to work
for a children’s charity, before joining Osbornes
as a Trainee Solicitor in 1994. Upon qualification
in 1996, Mark joined the Family department and has
remained there ever since, gaining promotion to
partner in 2000. |

Thompson |
Bridget has been a partner at Osbornes since July 2000. A New Zealander, she is a graduate of Otago University, where she graduated in Law and History. Bridget qualified as a lawyer in 1985, she practiced originally in New Zealand before transferring to the UK in 1992. |

Pepper |
| Having completed
her training contract at Gordon Dadds Lisa qualified
in October 2003 and joined Hughes Fowler Carruthers.
She moved to Mishcon de Reya before joining Osbornes
in May 2006. Lisa is a Partner in the
family department. |

Angell |
Naomi Angell specialises in all areas of children’s law and in particular international and domestic adoption, children’s cases with an immigration interface, child protection, surrogacy and other fertility law cases. |

| Simone specialises
in all aspects of private and public law children
work. She has particular expertise in domestic and
international Child Abduction and is a member of
the panel of lawyers instructed in child abduction
work by the International Child Abduction and Contact

Ruth
de Fraine |
| Previously a journalist,
Ruth decided to change career after having two children.
She trained at Osbornes and qualified into the family
department in 1999. Ruth specialises in Children
Law, particularly child care work and is an accredited
member of the Law Society Children Panel. |

Andrew Watson |
Andrew Watson is an Associate Solicitor in the Family Department. He joined the firm in 1999 after being called to the Bar in 1997. |

Maria
Kitsiou |
| After qualifying as a solicitor Maria joined Osbornes in March 2001 to specialise in family law. Maria has experience in children work, both public and private, financial relief on divorce and other matters arising from family breakdown. |

Sanderson |
| Sara is originally
from Manchester but migrated to London to join Osbornes
as a trainee in 2001. She liked the firm so
much that she stayed on after qualifying in 2003
and now works in the family department. |

Smith |
After obtaining a degree in History, Sue decided to pursue a career in law. She joined the firm in 2002 as a trainee solicitor and qualified as a solicitor in 2004. She was made an associate in 2010. |

Laura studied law at Nottingham University. She completed her training at Osbornes and worked in the family department as a qualified solicitor for 5 years until 1999. |

Anest
Mathias |
Anest qualified as a solicitor in October 2005 after completing her training at Osbornes.
Anest undertakes a range of family work. Anest represents parents and family members in public law proceedings and private law proceedings including proceedings where there are issues about domestic violence, abduction and threatened abduction. In relation to ancillary relief, Anest has a particular niche in cases where one party is also subject to confiscation proceedings following a criminal conviction. |

Smith |
| Katie joined Osbornes
as a solicitor in June 2008. She graduated
from Nottingham Trent University in 2004 and completed
her diploma in Legal Practice at Nottingham Law
School in 2007. |

Mark obtained a degree in Physics from Oxford University before completing his Graduate Diploma in Law at City University and Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University. |

Paven
Basuita |
Paven has a broad range of experience in family matters from divorce and financial matters to children related cases. She is experienced in offering advice relating to divorce, financial settlement, pre-nuptial agreements and can advise on how finances should be resolved where the parties were not married. In terms of children cases, Paven advises on residence and contact applications as well as more complex applications such as relocation to another country. She also advises on emergency applications such as prohibited steps orders and injunctions. |

Varsani Atkins |
| Neelum graduated from the University of Bristol in 2003 with a 2.1 in law. She completed her training at Russell-Cooke LLP and joined Osbornes, qualifying as a solicitor in June 2009. |

Alexandra
graduated with First Class Honours in 2006 after
reading law at Nottingham Trent University, and
was awarded a Merit after studying for her Masters
in Law at University College London in 2007.

Andrew Gareth Edwards |
Andrew graduated from the University of Warwick with a degree in History before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School. He joined Osbornes as a paralegal in the Family Department in February 2010. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys travelling, cycling and running. |

Dzifa Gan |
After moving from the US to Australia and touring with a dance company, Dzifa graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2008 with a 2:1 Bachelor of Laws and a 2:1 Bachelors of Arts, majoring in Psychology. Most recently, Dzifa completed the Australian College of Law requirements for admission to the New South Wales bar with a first and is now a qualified Australian solicitor. |

Personal Injury Law Team

Wendy Wright |
Wendy is the firm’s senior partner and co-heads the firm’s personal injury department with Stuart Kightley. Wendy has been with Osbornes since 1981 and has specialised in personal injury work and medical negligence since 1990. She has enjoyed success in two recent substantial stress at work claims, has recovered one of the highest awards for negligent cosmetic surgery for one of our clients.
Wendy is involved on a daily basis in claiming compensation for clients who have had road or industrial accidents. |

Stuart Kightley |
Stuart runs the PI department with Senior Partner Wendy Wright. After a spell with the Crown Prosecution Service he joined the firm in 1994 in order to specialise in PI work. Early successes included his first full trial where the Claimant with a badly broken ankle recovered £250,000 damages, and another substantial settlement in a case where a design fault in the cab of a London bus caused the driver a repetitive strain injury. |

Sophie Davies |
Sophie is a senior lawyer in the personal injury department and an Associate of the firm. She has specialised in personal injury for 9 nine years and has a wide ranging caseload. Recent successes include recovering over £500,000 for a client badly hurt by the driver of a stolen car. |

Siobhan McIvor |
| Siobhan has worked in the Personal Injury Department since 1998, when she started as a paralegal, before qualifying in 2001, and deciding to specialise in personal injury law, which she has been practicing now for over 8 years (with two years out on maternity leave.) |

Charlotte Williams |
After graduating with a 2:1 degree in English from Leeds University, Charlotte completed her training at the College of Law in London and at Russell-Cooke in Putney, where she gained experience in personal injury and clinical negligence, and qualified in September 2005. Charlotte joined Osbornes as a solicitor in the Personal Injury department in October 2005.

Chris Collins |
| Chris joined Osbornes in 2003 and has several years experience in handling all types of personal injury claims. Recent cases include a £60,000 settlement for a motorcyclist injured by a hit and run driver, and a successful claim against a taxi driver whose passenger opened a door injuring a passer by. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and his qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Law and the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. |

| Anna graduated in Law at Swansea University and undertook the Legal Practice Course in Bristol. She worked as a paralegal for a national firm before joining Osbornes Personal Injury Department in March 2004. She became a trainee solicitor in October 2005. Anna qualified as a solicitor in October 2007 and rejoined the Personal Injury Department. |

Joseph Askham |
Joseph recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a 2:1 in Law (Sandwich). He also has a Diploma in Professional Practice obtained whilst working at Hodge Jones and Allen LLP. |

Michael Cockings |
Michael qualified as a solicitor in 2009, having trained at Osbornes.
He graduated from the University of Manchester with a 2:1 honours degree in Law and completed the Legal Practice Course at the Bristol Institute of Legal Practice. He gained legal experience working as a Civil Litigation Case Manager in the Official Solicitor's Office before commencing his training at Osbornes. |

Jaro works as a paralegal at Osbornes. He was born in Slovakia in 1980 and has lived in London since 2000. He is currently in the second year of a law degree course at London Metropolitan University. He is a fluent Slovak/Czech, Hungarian and English speaker. |

Philip Lee |
Philip studied law at the University of Nottingham and graduated with a 2.1 with Honours. After university, Philip began the Legal Practice Course part time at the College of Law and joined Osbornes in January 2010. |

Nisha studied law at Kings College London and graduated with a 2:1 with Honours. She recently completed the BVC at BBP law school in Holborn. She joined Osbornes Personal Injury department as a Paralegal in June 2010. |

Jan Atkinson |
| After gaining valuable experience as a property lawyer in the City Jan joined Osbornes in 1990 and was able to develop her interest in Wills, Probate and Trusts work and now specialises exclusively in this area of law. She heads up a seven strong team at Osbornes and continues to develop her expertise in the private client field. A significant part of her work now comprises disputed probate cases. |

Justine Simms |
Justine is an Associate Solicitor in the property department. After completing her training at Spearing Waite in Leicester, she joined a Cambridge firm to undertake agricultural property work before joining Osbornes in January 2004. |

Maria Elliot |
| Maria Elliot is an Associate Solicitor in the Property Department. Maria completed her Law degree and Masters in Law at the London School of Economics in 1997. She trained with a private west End practice and was admitted as a solicitor in September 2002. |

Emily Lund |
| Emily graduated with a degree in law from Durham University in 2005. She went on to pass the LPC with distinction at the College of Law in London. She joined Osbornes as a paralegal in 2006 and, after completing her training contract, qualified as a solicitor in the Property Department in October 2009. |

Emma Sayers |
| After a degree in European Studies and Spanish, Emma worked in the field of probate genealogy for nine years. In 2008 she started her legal studies with the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX). In June 2009, she joined Osbornes as a paralegal in the Wills & Probate department, whilst she continues her studies part-time. |

Ruth Camp |
| Ruth Camp is a solicitor in the housing and property litigation team. Ruth qualified as a solicitor in 2004 after studying at The University of Warwick and the Inns of Court and training as a solicitor with Osbornes between 2002 and 2004. Ruth specialises in representing tenants in disputes with their landlords. |

Safiye Connor |
Safiye joined Osbornes in June 2004 and is a case worker in the Housing Department. Having completed the CPE and BVC she was called to the bar in October 2004. Safiye specialises in defending possession proceedings and suspending warrants for eviction, and can also assists with unlawful evictions. |

William Ford |
| William Ford joined Osbornes in October 2004 as a trainee after studying at Kings College London and the College of Law. William qualified as a solicitor in the Housing and Litigation team in October 2006. |

Helen Bogie |
After graduating in law from the University of Sheffield, Helen stayed on at Sheffield to complete the Legal Practice Course. After a summer traveling Europe on Interrail, Helen joined Osbornes as a trainee solicitor in October 2005. In October 2007 Helen qualified as a solicitor and joined the Housing and Civil Litigation department. |

Ross Howarth |
Ross graduated with a degree in Law with Australian Law from the University of Nottingham in 2007, interspersed with a sunnier year at the University of Queensland. He then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London and joined Osbornes as a litigation paralegal in June 2008. He makes attempts at sporting endeavour but mostly enjoys soaking up London’s cultural life with friends and family. |

Anna Perry |
After completing the GDL at the College of Law in London, Anna went on to pass the LPC with distinction. She joined Osbornes in October 2009 as a litigation paralegal. Before embarking upon her new career in law, Anna ran her own successful business manufacturing bespoke bridal gowns for exclusive stores around the world. In her spare time Anna studies Italian, enjoys trips to the theatre and relaxing with friends. |

Lauren graduated from Newcastle University in 2009 with a 2:1 Law Degree. Guy Osborn |
| Guy is the Head of the Property Litigation Department. Having qualified in 1998 he joined the firm in August 2001 and became a partner in June 2006. Guy deals with all types of property disputes both commercial and residential but has a particular interest in Collective Enfranchisement and Lease Extension work. |

Shilpa
Mathuradas |
Shilpa joined Osbornes in May 2002 and became a Partner in September 2008. She specialises in residential and commercial property litigation and undertakes work for housing associations and co-operatives. Shilpa heads up a successful housing department and is known by her team for running a tight ship. |
