Product Liability

Makers and sellers of defective goods are liable to people injured by them under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.  This applies to a  wide range of products,  sucha a new beauty treatment not properly tested,  a toy or appliance with sharp edges or dangerous parts,  a drug without an adequate warning,  a non-opening airbag in a car or to packaged  food containing  a foreign body.
